A good way to maintain a very healthy and very young appearance is by the performance of certain face fitness techniques. Facial muscles are only attached to the skin that is on top of them, rather than bone (like skeletal muscles.) Aging causes these muscles to lose some elasticity, which causes skin sagging and increases wrinkles.

One way to maintain a healthful and young looking face is by doing face exercises. By allocating as little as ten minutes a day to regular face exercises, skin tone can be maintained and wrinkles resisted. These face exercises can be done at anytime during the day and don’t require any special equipment or going to a gym.

An effective facial exercise program does require dedication and commitment, though. It is important to remember when you start a facial exercise program that results will not appear overnight, but fine lines and sagging can be reduced over time. The other added benefit is that these exercises will improve overall muscle tone in the face.

But when you are doing these exercises, you have to really understand the muscles in your face and how these muscles control our faces. They work together in concert which makes us smile, frown, scowl and create countless other expressions.

One of the best ways to keep your face from getting wrinkles is by going through certain facial exercises every day. It doesn’t take much time; in ten minutes a day, you can perform the exercises that will keep your skin maintained. You can perform these anywhere and anytime you desire.

You can exercise your facial muscles in groups or separately. Before beginning, get the skin wet with oil or by hydrating it. To strengthen muscles surrounding the eyes, some very uncomplicated exercises can be done. Close the eye about half way and keep it that way for a second. Do not overdo the motion or squint. Do about fifty of these every day.

Stretching is essential to improve your mouth muscles. Put your fingers in your mouth at the corners and pull them out. This is not done to make your mouth get over-stretched, but rather to constrict the facial muscles and create tension near your fingers. Only make your mouth extend a quarter of an inch.

One thing that can lose a lot of tone is your neck muscles. One good way to tighten these muscles it to tilt your head back anywhere from twenty to about thirty degrees. When you do this, press your tongue to the top of your mouth cavity. If you are doing it right you will feel tension in the area under your chin. After that, tilt your chin down and keep your tongue on top of your mouth. Do this 20 to 30 times and you will eventually see a tighter neck muscle tone.

It is essential that you keep care of your face. The process of aging inevitably brings wrinkles and sagging, but these things and other problems that come with aging can be avoided if you do these exercises daily and regularly.
