Dry skin quite possibly one of the most difficult skin types to treat. In order to relieve dry skin you should adopt the adequate skin care routine that may include natural skin care products.
Dry Skin Care
Let’s first take a look at the appropriate dry skin routine. Soapy cleansers are not a good choice for dry skin. Water and soap can easily strip your skin of essential oils and moisture.
You should use a cream cleanser if you have dry skin. Cream cleansers are gentle and will safely remove all the debris from your skin without robbing it of moisture. If you have sensitive skin, non-comedogenic oil, like olive oil, can be a sensible alternative to cream cleansers.
After cleansing you should use a toner that is alcohol-free toner to help close pores and remove any remaining debris. Once you’ve finished, use a good moisturizing cream. If your skin feels tight, you can reapply your moisturizer as often as necessary.
People with dry skin should also worry about exfoliating on a regular basis. Try making your own exfoliation product. Mix grapefruit juice and oatmeal and apply it to your skin to help slough off dead skin cells.
Natural Products for Dry Skin
Once you have your routine down, you might want to try using some natural products to see which ones you prefer. Natural products are known to contain essential oils, minerals, water and fruit extracts. You may not find 100% natural products on the market, but you can make your own.
When looking for the best natural skin care products out there, you should keep an eye out for the following ingredients:
*Aloe Vera
Aloe vera is a wonderful natural ingredient capable of increasing the availability of oxygen to the skin. This will help boost the production and strength of skin tissue. As an added plus, aloe vera can help soothe sun burned and irritated skin.
*Colloidal oatmeal
Oatmeal has a high concentration of starches that help protect the skin and promote its water holding capacity. It also has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties. Colloidal oatmeal can also be used as a cleanser, moisturizer and exfoliator.
*Rose water
Rose water is a wonderful natural product that has antiseptic and anti bacterial properties. It can help soothe and treat irritated skin.
*Rose Hip Seed Oil
This oil has been used for centuries to soothe irritated and dry skin. In fact, some indigenous tribes in South Amercia have used it to treat eczema skin.
*Snail serum
This product is an excellent moisturizer that absorbs quickly and helps promote the growth of new skin cells.
The market is filled with a variety of different natural products that can contain one or more of these ingredients. However, if you want to try something new you can look for these ingredients separately and use them to make your own mix of natural skin care products. Keep in mind though, that natural ingredients can produce allergic reactions in some people.
