Depending on who you’re talking to, the word organic can mean different things. In the food industry, it refers to products that do not contain pesticides or growth hormones. In the skin care industry, it refers to products that do not contain artificial ingredients, petroleum-based ingredients or other unsafe ingredients. Nevertheless, some skin care products that are marketed as natural take an even more global scope to the meaning of the word and use it when referring to products that aren’t so natural. Their logical rides on the fact that petroleum isn’t a synthetically produced product and doesn’t take into consideration the fact that it is more detrimental than helpful. This is why you should make a habit of reading product labels.

Ingredients to Avoid

The reason anti aging products exist is to help fight the aging process, however, there are a few ingredients that can actually speed up the aging process and lead to wrinkles, dull skin and other skin problems. So, make sure you read the labels carefully before purchasing any organic skin care products.

*Synthetic Colors

Synthetic colors are made using coal tar and contain heavy metal salts. These components can produce free radicals and lead to eye wrinkles and dull skin. Avoid products containing FD&C or D&C colors if you want an effective anti wrinkle cream.

*Petrochemicals

This group of ingredients is derived from crude oil, giving it the name of Petrochemicals. These petrochemicals coat your skin and make it impossible for your body to eliminate toxins. Because it is difficult to eliminate toxins your body may experience dull skin, allergies, and clogged pores.

Avoid anti aging creams that contain mineral oil, paraffin and petrolatum. Especially if you have oily or combination skin.

*Sulfates

These components are usually found in soaps, detergents and cleansers. If the product you are about to buy contains sodium lauryl sulfate or sodium laureth sulfate, then it contains sulfates. Sulfates dry out the skin and cause rashes, and in some cases have been known to cause ocular problems.

*Quaternary Ammonium Compounds (Quats)

Quats are used in conditioning products, but be careful because they have also been linked to antibiotic resistance. Try and avoid using products that contain benzalkonium chloride, cetrimonium chloride and cetrimonium bromide, among others.

*Alcohol

If you find alcohol in your wrinkle treatment then discard it immediately. Alcohol is known to dehydrate the skin and promote the development of wrinkles, irritation, and skin rashes. In fact, the only two alcohol ingredients that your skin care product should contain are stearyl alcohol and cetearyl alcohol.

This list doesn’t contain all the ingredients you should avoid, but it is a good place to start. By doing a little research, you’ll find the best wrinkle creams out there.

However, time is valuable and not everyone can spend hours researching skin care, that’s why we’ve done it for you.

REJUVENATING CREAM is an excellent wrinkles cream that contains hyaluronic acid and strawberry seed oil. This natural skin care cream also contains a special combination of certain ingredients that make it gentle and effective skin care product. Because REJUVENATING CREAM is made with special natural ingredients, it is an ideal natural skin care product for both sensitive and dry skin types.
